Dave Ragland is the founder and Artistic Director of Inversion Vocal Ensemble. Dave is a vocalist, arranger, composer, and pianist. He was a Finalist for the 2013 Valley City State University Composers Competition. Dave has served as Minister of Music for Dixon United Methodist Church and the Wesley Center at Tennessee State University, and is a frequent music director for the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts. Past engagements include Nashville Opera, The Kennedy Center Honors, Nashville Symphony, and Chattanooga Symphony & Opera. Dave is a proud member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Dave is a native of Chattanooga, TN and currently resides in Nashville, TN. 

About the Music!

An Inversion concert runs the musical gamut! The show moves from classical to jazz to gospel to musical theater. A typical concert would include a classic anthem, soul-stirring spiritual arrangements, a cappella jazz standards, Broadway favorites, and beloved hymns. 

Inversion can perform a full concert at 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours length. Inversion can also provide a 30 minute educational lecture/performance on spirituals, opera, or gospel suitable for school performance, conferences, and seminars. Inversion is readily able to provide special music for worship services, galas, and weddings.
